You will hear a constant 'creaking noise' from the bottom of the bike as you pedal.

What causes this issue?

Usually, this issue comes from come from one/multiple screws of the BB that aren't correctly tightened and/or don't have Loctite on them, probably the drive-side screws (hidden behind the front sprocket).

Repair Instructions

  • Replace the bottom bracket with this tutorial.

  • Additional written Instructions;

    • Remove the belt, both crank arms and the front sprocket

    • Tighten all screws on the BB (both drive and non-drive sides), according to the torque table (drive side: 3 Nm, with loctite; non drive side: 8 Nm).

    • We expect removing the 2x drive side screws, adding Loctite and tightening them to 3 Nm should do the trick.

    • Reinstall the front sprocket and tighten it to the correct torque (30 Nm), then grease and reinstall both crank arms (45 Nm).

    • Check the torque of the rear sprocket lock ring if the noise remains (45 Nm).
