Temporary solution

You can power on your bike without the app using the Manual Unlock feature*. To do this:

  1. Use your key to remove the battery from your bike.

  2. Wait until the battery-level indicator LEDs turns on**.

  3. Reinsert the battery into the bike to turn it on.

* Not available on Cowboy 1 and Cowboy 2.
** This LED feedback requires firmware version v4.22.4 or higher. If you’re running an older version, wait about 5 seconds after removing the battery before reinserting it to ensure your bike is ready to turn on.

Reconnecting your iPhone to your bike

  1. Update the app* to the latest version from the App Store.

  2. Tap the Bluetooth icon on the Home tab and follow the on-screen instructions to fix the problem. They include the following tips:

  • Move closer to the bike

  • Toggle Bluetooth off and on again

  • Force-quit and restart the app

  • Restart your phone

  • Make sure no other phone is currently connected to the bike. If so, turn off Bluetooth on that phone or move further away from it.

  • Unpair and re-pair your phone with the bike in your phone's Bluetooth settings

  • Try to charge your battery. When you plug in the charger, the LED light should turn red, indicating that the battery is charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the light will switch to green. If the light never turns red, the battery isn't charging at all. This usually points to an issue with either the battery or the charger.

  • Ensure Manual Unlock works if your bike supports this feature. If it doesn't work, the issue might be with the bike.

* Our latest iOS app requires an iPhone SE (Gen 2) or newer and supports all the OS versions as of iOS 15. A former app version is still supported by iPhone 5S and up and OS versions from iOS 11. Former app version have fewer features and in particular do not have an embedded Bluetooth Connection Troubleshooting Flow.

My phone asks for a Bluetooth pairing code. Where can I find it?

When connecting to your bike, the app should automatically display a 6-digit Bluetooth pairing code. If you don't see the code, contact us through the chat and we’ll provide the code.
