First, activate Find my Bike. Open the app, go to the Help tab, then tap "Activate Find my Bike". This will put your bike in stolen mode. In this mode, your bike will send its position whenever it moves to help you retrieve it.
We advise you to go to your local police station and report your bike as stolen. Share the "Theft report link" from your app with them so they can access your latest bike position and identification information like your frame number or MAC address. These details are displayed on a sticker below the bottom bracket of the bike.
If possible, accompany the police to the latest known position of your bike. Move around and try to connect to your bike. When a connection is established, you can trigger a distress signal on your bike. It will play a loud sound and your bike lights will blink. You can also monitor the strength of the Bluetooth signal on your screen. If your bike's battery is not plugged in, you will not be able to trigger the signal but you will still see the signal strength.
If you have an active Cowboy Theft Insurance contract and are unable to retrieve your bike, you can file a claim with the insurer within 24 hours of the theft. Use this link to initiate the claims process.
In this article, you'll find all the information that will help you increase the chances of finding your bike back.
