Solve the issue: A Tire Puncture (C1, C2, C3, Cowboy Classic, Cruiser, Cruiser ST)

A flat tire is never fun and can be very frustrating, so here's information on how to get you back on the road as soon as possible.

What causes this issue?

A tyre puncture can happen for many reasons, but usually it happens due to an impact or riding over a sharp object.

We recommend doing the following to identify what caused the puncture, as this will help you or your local bike shop know how best to fix it.

  • Check the valve core is tight and not leaking air.

  • Check there are no sharp objects stuck in the tire (if yes, you'll need an inner tube)

  • Check there is no tear/rip itself in the tire (if yes, you'll need a new tyre and inner tube)

  • Check there are no sharp exposed edges on the rim (if yes, visit a bike shop for this!)

Is this issue covered by warranty?

  • If you experience multiple punctures in a short space of time, especially in the first few weeks of receiving your bike, please visit your local bike shop to identify the cause of the repeated punctures.

Where to have this issue fixed

  • Local Bike shop: We recommend visiting your local favourite bike shop to easily and quickly fix this issue, sharing the instructions below. Our tyres are not specific to Cowboy or E-bikes, so it's an easy repair.

  • Cowboy Certified Bike Shop: If you are near a Cowboy Certified Bike Shop, you can also drop in there. Check our map here

  • Self repair: If you are handy, you can check the videos below and try it out yourself. (The front wheel is easier than the rear wheel!). If you want to repair it yourself; first check the following to identify what the issue is

    • Check the valve core is tight and not leaking air (if yes, screw in the valve)

    • Check there are no sharp objects stuck in the tire (if yes, you'll need an inner tube)

    • Check there is no tear/rip itself in the tire (if yes, get a new tyre and inner tube)

    • Check there are no sharp exposed edges on the rim (if yes, visit a bike shop!)
