The best thing to do if you are not satisfied with the route suggested by your app is to raise that feedback directly to Google Maps:
Enter your destination and starting point on Google Maps’s website on desktop (https://www.google.com/maps)
Tap on "Send feedback" at the bottom right of your screen
Select the instruction you find bad
